How did I come to be at Access??

I'm trying to catch up on some of the assignments that I gave the kids the last few weeks. I know one of them was to post about who you are and how you came to be here, right? Well here's mine ...

I'm John. I'm from Long Island, but then made the totally smart move to Brooklyn (via Queens, with a brief layover in Harlem (errr Hamilton Heights). Then I had my baby, and moved back here to Long Island .. anyway (bla bla bla).

I WAS teaching American History at a really nice school in Brooklyn (via East Harlem, with a brief layover in Williamsburg at a tech school), but came to hate 1)my Principal 2) Most of the people I was teaching with and 3) Not working with Alternative School kids. I came here to teach technology and I've been here ever since. I haven't met one person who DIDN'T like Access (well one, but she was a train wreck and left anyway), and after a week or so of being here, you'll probably see why.
